Travelers 2

So these are some more ideas of the time travelers. I wanted to keep a victorina feel so to keep that I added more decorative details to suggest that. These are both essentially edits of characters I had already posted. The girl is now sitting on a victorian bench and the man is a much older version of the young man. He is the chief inventor. He is making a specialized pocket watch that can keep track of where they are in time.

Black Bunny

This was done for my friend. Recently out of the closet, she wanted a drawing of a babe with bunny ears. So here's m black bunny. And a sketch from Villa Montalvo. beautiful place which caters to the artist. Just missed a show there apparently, but they have a new one coming up and they seem to be pretty different. So I hope to head out there again once the new show is installed.

Time Travelers 1

here are some ideas for a possible female mechanic and a young half asian/caucasian male scientist. They are time travelers in the Victorian era.

RACH 3

Title has nothing to do with this art piece, but Shine is playing in the background, and the madness of Rachmaninoff's 3rd movement is playing. The energy the power, dang amazing. For any of you who play the piano or just appreciate good classical, the dynamic insanity of this piece is crazy.
But anyways.
So this piece was inspired by a lady i saw walking accross the street a few months ago. She walked like a chicken, had a crazy hair doo, and crazy huge sunglasses, and a belly, her stature was short and squat, so I attempted this memory sketch. Not exactly like her, but i'm pretty satisfied with this outcome. I've been using Illustrato like mad these days creating Yahoo Avatars, so I decided to draw the final in illustrator. Good fun. It is a tool I never thought i use seriously to draw with, but I've found a new appreciation for it. I'm enjoying the speed and simplicity illustrator provides for clean graphic shapes, it is a bit easier to get that effect in illustrator. Another cool thing is that if I want I can just outline the character in illustrator and then just import it into Photoshop and then paint by selection.
Welps good times, and more to come.

Speed Paint 1 hr

This is a piece I was sittin on or a long freaken time and finally just decided to paint it. Also submitted it to the Adobe competition. What do you all think, anything worth touchin up or just move on to the next lesson?

Hipsters

Just learned what a hipster is so decided to doodle some. Dunno if these are really hipsters, but according to a reliable source they just tend to be really effeminate guys. I'd never be able to pull jeans off like that, so I guess I'd just be physically impossible to be a hipster even if I wanted to be :|

Time off *sigh*

some sketches i fuddled around with. The blue stuff is from Art 1. Some of you may be familiar with this class, but for those that aren't. It's a time of relaxation and occascional tid bits of cool info. So I take the opportunity to just unwind and kick back and sketch a bit. There ain't too many occasions too these days, so it's nice. But when an occasion does arise and i forget my sketchbook post its come in real handy. The post it drawings aren't my favorite, but it was a fun time listenin to some indy rock live. Oh yeah. The music was performed by three bands, but one band inparticular had one of our fellow SHM alumns Debbie Bruce, who i personally do not know, but it was a good show, and a great way to get away from it all for one night.

Oh her band is Anchors for Architects cool stuff, not my usual, but somethin different is always good.

Oh and yes, that is one of our faithful leaders now here at SJSU David Chai telling all us art 1ners to do animation cause it is like being a God. YESSS!!!!

Tribe

Some ideas for a guy comin of age in a hypothetical city. He's tryin to summon the great beast to tow their city before the ice season comes. He wants to become a shaman. So those are some ideas of different elder shaman costumes. One of his trials is harvesting fish under water.

An owl, a barn owl at that, course nobody knows it is. But we know it's a bird and i could possibly be an owl. So this is Larry the Kooky cousin owl that no one likes to talk about, possibly the one I relate to the most ;) I had a lot of fun doin this. And there will be more to come.

These are some ideas I did to try and get an internship at Hallmark. The idea was pretty much design the cutest thing you can think of. It was tough but i dug deep and pooed out some of the disgustingly cutest things i can think of. With a bit of help i came up with the juggling mouse on a unicycle, which the more i look at I think is just wierd, but I like it. The mouse with the flower and the slightly retarded look though still makes me smile :) those crazy mice.

some poo

here's some random stuff I've been sketching and havin some fun with. Whatcha all think?

Day 1 Noobism

So this is my first post and my new adventure into the cyber world of sharing parts of my life. What will the future hold. Currently after browsing the many blogs I've discovered that this is pretty freakin cool. Got to catch up with tons of people whom I haven't had a chance to talk to and to see what's been goin on in there lives, plus all the kick ass, sick ass, bomb ass art work they've been doin. I love it! Plus it's easier than setting up some crazy layed out website where you have to navigate for days to find something. Thank you blogspot. Here's me in my new ride fresh from L.A. courtesy of Curious George.
